Safeguarding
Whitecross Day Nursery ensures an environment in which children are safe from abuse and in which suspicion of abuse is promptly and appropriately responded to.
The welfare, safety, and protection of all children are paramount. We maintain rigorous procedures for safeguarding children and we expect everyone working within the setting to take responsibility for following procedures whilst complying with national and local authority Policies.
We have a designated member of staff for all safeguarding children issues. This person is responsible for recording any incidents that relate to safeguarding children, ensuring that the child’s needs are met, and liaising with professionals such as EHA co-ordinators or Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), if necessary.
